McCulloch County Courthouse The McCulloch County Courthouse is the center of the community of Brady. A traveler entering Brady on one of the five incoming highways must pass by the courthouse in going through the city. Construction of  the present courthouse was completed in 1899 and is designated as a recorded Texas Historic Landmark

The Heart of Texas Historical Museum is housed in the old McCulloch County Jail. The jail was constructed in 1910 at a cost of $14,418.75. The three-story structure served as the county's correctional facility until 1974, when it was deeded to the Heart of Texas Historical Museum. Although never used, it contains a death cell which was converted to a security cell for more "troublesome" prisoners. The first floor consisted mainly of jailer's quarters, with the top two floors housing prisoners. The museum, located at the corner of Main and High Streets (one block west of the square), is open on Saturday and Monday from 1:00-5:00 p.m., and on Sunday from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

The restoration of this Santa Fe Train Depot is unequaled. Located in the  lovely landscaped setting of North Bridge and Depot Streets are the art gallery  and studio of renowned artist Francis King. Visitors are welcome, and the center  is available for parties and small conventions. For more information, please  contact the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce at 915/597-3491, e-mail  at the Chamber or Francis King at  915/597-2501.

Soldiers' Water Hole is located seven miles east of Brady just off Highway 190.  Exit 190 at Farm Road 412 and continue east approximately 2 1/2 miles. Soldiers' Water Hole is listed as one of the local attractions in the Brady/McCulloch  County literature at the Chamber of Commerce.
