Ghost of Nacogdoches Historic Trail This 10 mile city
trail is sponsored
by the East Texas Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. It focuses on the importance of Nacogdoches as a hub of western expansion and frontier development. Trail booklets available at local stores and the Nacogdoches Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Historic Town Center Originally constructed by the Federal
Government in 1917 for use as a United States Post Office, today this building serves as the city's Visitor
Information Center. It contains a collection of old photographs as well as a variety of displays relating to the city's historic past. Located at 200 E. Main Street. Hours Mon-Fri 8-5; Sat 10-4; Sun 1-4. Phone 888-564-7351.
Lanana Creek Trail Originally an Indian footpath, this
trails weaves through thickets of paw-paw, dogwood and scarlet-blooming buckeye. The trail begins at El Camino Real Park (Liberty Hall) located on East Main Street.
Millard's Crossing One of the most educational and
entertaining
tours in town! A reconstructed historic village located just North of Nacogdoches on Highway 59. Everything from a log cabin to a Victorian home that date back to the early 1800s. Tours Mon-Sat 9-4; Sun 1-4. Admission $4. Phone 936-564-6631.
Nacogdoches Fire Museum Formerly referred to as
"Central Fire Station," the museum is home
to Nacogdoches' first commercial fire engine, old sirens, nozzles and tools, as well as numerous photos of local fires. Located at 214 E. Pilar. Tours by appointment. Phone 936-559-2541.
Oak Grove Cemetery Four signers of the Texas Declaration of
Independence are buried here, including Thomas J. Rusk. Located on N. Lanana Street.
Old University Building Built in 1845, it is the only
original building of a university chartered by the Republic of Texas still standing. It was a hospital during the Civil War. Located at 515 N. Mound. Tours Tues-Fri 1-4; Sat 10-4; Sun 1-4. Phone

Ruby Mize Azalea Garden More than 3,500 azaleas spill
over 8 acres in this beautiful garden on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University. It is the center-piece of Nacogdoches' annual Azalea Trails.

SFA Mast Arboretum The first arboretum at a university in
Texas, this on-campus garden spills over 10 acres and lies on a portion of the Lanana Creek Trail. Enjoy the wide diversity of plant life, including rare trees, shrubs, vines, ground covers and
perennials. Always open.
Sterne-Hoya House Built by a prominent leader of the
Texas Revolution in 1830. Sam Houston was baptized here. Located at 211 S. Lanana. Tours Mon-Sat 9-12 & 2-5. Phone 936-560-5426
Stone Fort Museum Spanish colonial residence
that interprets East Texas and Nacogdoches history. This replica of Antonio Gil Y'Barbo's 1779 stone house is one the SFA campus. Tours Tues-Sat 9-5; Sun 1-5. Phone 936-468-2408.
Self Guided Walking Tour Visit 15 historic stops in

Tol Barret Home Located on the Llano Grande Plantation,
