The Comal River  is fed by springs which are the natural outlets of the Edwards Aquifer. Schlitterbahn, the  nation's most popular summertime waterpark, is located on the banks of the  spring-fed Comal River in the heart of New Braunfels. Recreational activities year round at Canyon Lake include fishing, boating, sailing, camping, water skiing and scuba diving, depending on lake levels. When you aren’t playing in the water there are wonderful restaurants, antique shopping and the near by factory malls!
